Madame Madame DIABATE Mamou BAMBA,

President
of the Network of Elected and Political Women
for Participatory Democracy (REMAFEDE)

Madame DIABATE Mamou BAMBA is the
Mayor of the Rural Commune of Pelengana
since 2009. Previously, she was 1st Deputy in the same Town Hall from 2004 to 2009. She remains close to the communities and works for their well-being. Madame DIABATE Mamou BAMBA is, Higher Water and Forestry Technician from Polytechnic Rural Institute for Training and Applied Research (IPR/ IFRA).
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Local Government Investments and General Agent of the insurance and reinsurance company Sabu-Nyuman-Ségou. At the associative level, affiliations to professional associations and networks, the Mayor is since 2018, the 1st Vice-President of the West Africa Executive Bureau of the Network of Locally Elected Women of Africa (REFELA), since 2016 President of the Bureau Executive MALI (REFELA), since 2011 one of the three representatives of local elected women from West Africa within the continental executive of the Network of Locally Elected Women of Africa (REFELA) and the treasurer of the « Tièssiri Diala » Association of Pelengana Sud since 1998. Secretary in charge of Gender Promotion of the National Executive Office Association of Municipalities of Mali (AMM), she has been a member of the Malian Network of Elected and Political Women for Participatory Democracy (REMAFEDE) since
2009. She was trained on:

• The roles and responsibilities of local and community actors in May and
  in June 2021 and to Local Governance and Community Leadership in
  Ségou by the AMM/VNI.
• Leadership and Gender Promotion in October 2019 with Cooperation
  German GIZ in Ouagadougou.
• Climate Change and Local Development from the Academy of
  Local Authorities of Africa in Accra in April 2015.
• Training on the Public Restitution of the Management of Local Affairs
  Association of Municipalities of Mauritania (AMM) in Nouakchott January
  2012,
• The Program Budget in June 2011
• Gender in September 2009 on behalf of the Association of Municipalities
  of Mali (AMM), United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLGA) in
  Tunisia
