Madame Madame Awa TRAORE
Organizing Secretary
of the Malian Network of Elected and Political Women for
Participatory Democracy (REMAFEDE)
Madame Awa TRAORE is a Municipal Councilor at the
Town Hall of Commune II of the District of Bamako
She was Mayor delegated to the districts (Médina-Coura,
Bagadadji, Bakaribougou and Bougouba) from 2009 to 2016.
Then from 2016-2022, Municipal Councilor with
tasks of:
- Contribute to the development of the Municipal Work Program,
- Prepare daily copies of birth certificates,
- Ensuring meetings with City Hall staff,
- Enter past documents for legalization and mimeo,
- Draw up monthly activity reports for the Town Hall,
- Filing administrative documents,
She holds a Fundamental Studies Diploma (DEF).
She was trained on:
- Violence against women between 2009-2014,
- The question of gender (Certificate) 2016-2020
- Soap making in 2022.
- The management of the Town Hall in 2018 in the Governorate of the District of Bamako,
- How to approach 2022 voters
- Preparation of the municipal budget (Governorate) in 2021.
She is a member of the Malian Network of Elected and Political Women for
Participatory Democracy (REMAFEDE) since 2009. In addition to his position as
Municipal Councilor at the Town Hall of Commune II, Mrs. Awa TRAORE exercises
other activities as a woman leader in her commune. Among these activities
we can note the dyeing and the animation of an Association on the manufacture of soap.
